What is Somatic Integration

Somatic integration is body-based parts work.

Rather than analysing from the head, we work with your nervous system and the protective patterns shaped by past experience. At the root-cause.

Through steady, trauma-informed exploration, we integrate fragmeneted or exiled aspects of identity so your system can settle and your sense of self can stabilise.

Sessions are collaboarative, paced and grounded in nervous system safety.

As integration deepens, clients often experience:

  • Reduced self-criticism
  • A felt sense of inner security and self-compassion
  • More clarity in relationships
  • Energy returning for creativity and life

    About Janine

    I’m Janine, drawn to wild, natural connection—backpacking South America, rafting Tasmania’s rivers, dancing under stars, and exploring my wildest adventure: my inner world.

    I know what it’s like to appear capable on the outside while feeling anxious or unworthy inside.

    Growing up in a loving but volatile environment with inconsistent connection – I learned to function well — but my nervous system carried deeper layers of insecurity and overwhelming dysregulation. I felt unseen, unworthy and powerless.

    In my late thirties, I began working somatically, integrating the wounded and protective parts of myself. Over time, steadiness replaced volatility. The process wasn’t dramatic — it was gradual, sometimes messy, but embodied and real.

    That is the work I now offer.

    I am an IICT-accredited practitioner trained in somatic and parts-based approaches including Compassion Key®, IFS-informed work, EFT and breath-based regulation.

    My approach is steady, relational and non-performative.

    I’m passionate about helping you heal at the root, regulate your nervous system, and feel at home in yourself and your relationships.
